Detailed analysis and papers will follow, but the National Tracheostomy Safety Project is excited to release an infographic with the headline results of the ITC program. This was a complex, 20 site program bringing the interventions from the Global Tracheostomy Collaborative into diverse NHS hospitals spread throughout the UK. The results are quite staggering, with significant impacts on almost all aspects of quality and safety of care. Organisational efficiencies led to significant cost savings, which could lead to huge savings for the NHS if the project was adopted nationally.
