  • Cooled boiled water or warm water if the skin is intact
  • Normasol if the skin is broken
  • Dressings if needed

Do not use cotton buds due to their loose fibers.

  • If infected will need more frequent cleaning
  • Observe for any significant changes

Granulations are when the stoma develops excess skin growths which may need removing. This can be treated with creams otocomb ointment or fucidin H/C.
