Answer: You would need the following equipment:
- Videolaryngoscope
- Range of direct laryngoscopes
- Immediately available endoscope
- Aintree or airway exchange catheters
- Range of tracheal tubes including microlaryngeal tracheal (MLT) tubes
- Intubating LMA
An uncut tube can be advanced beyond the stoma to 'seal' it off (Fig 1). This makes ventilation easier.
